Uview was a visualization project which displayed news stories based on location and retrieved related Twitter posts and Flickr images.
Users are able to:
- Click on markers to explore the social magnitude of the news
- Filter using category tabs
- Select multiple tabs to compare social magnitude by category
Code was written in PHP, JavaScript, and integrated with the Twitter and Flickr APIs. This was a joint project with Fábio Costa, Alexandre Miguel Ferreira, Panos Kovanis, Davide Modolo, Tyrone Vriesde, Thomas Wielemaker, Hans van ‘t Woud.
